Healthy Women Sought for Study on Cognitive Effects of Breast Cancer Treatments

Researchers at the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences seek healthy women who have never had cancer to participate in a study of memory and concentration changes. Participants should be between the ages of 40 and 55 and have at least a tenth-grade education. No chemotherapy agents will be administered to these participants who will serve as the control group.

Participants will visit the IU medical school campus for three sessions over the course of 18 months. Each visit will take six to eight hours over a two-day period and involve a brain MRI scan, cognitive testing, questionnaires and blood tests. The testing is free and participants will be compensated for each visit.
