Study on binge eating and drinking seeks volunteers

Developing more effective treatments for people who lose control over their eating, drinking, and/or substance abuse, requires a clear understanding of the psychological risk factors involved. Currently, many questions related to these problems remain unanswered and existing treatments are not always effective.

The study seeks to explore the relationship between eating behavior and different ways people manage their emotions. Participants, who must be 18 years or older, are asked to complete an online survey. The survey takes about 15 – 20 minutes and is anonymous. Participants who complete the survey can also go in a draw to win a $50 gift voucher.

The survey website can be found at www.psy.mq.edu.au/research/problemeating.html
