New study at Coventry’s University Hospital seeks people with type 2 diabetes

The study is to test a new tablet which may help patients with diabetes.

Researchers at University Hospital are looking for those who would be interested in taking part who:

  • Have Type 2 diabetes
  • Are aged 18 to 70 years old
  • Are currently being treated with Metformin only (of at least 1000mcg a day)
  • Are overweight with a BMI of more than 25kg/m2
  • Willing to stay overnight in hospital on two separate occasions over a 12 week period

Travel expenses to attend study clinic visits will be covered and those taking part may also be paid for the inconvenience of the overnight hospital stays.
