Crazy ants are also very hard to kill and once you have them, getting rid of them can be near impossible.
Knowing that pests are problematic is easy. Doing something about it, however, takes some work. It isn’t as simple as tossing out a few ant traps and calling it a day–a tactic which you will want to avoid if you have pets. Here are the two best ways to keep your home as close to pest free as possible.
Seal It Up: pests don’t typically wait for a window to be left open or sneak in behind you when you open the door. They will look for any way possible into your house–chewing through insulation, squeezing through cracks, crawling through pipes, etc. Go through your home and make sure that it is sealed up tight. Put wire mesh around the spaces that might gap–like where pipes are fitted through walls. Caulk up cracks. Replace your weather stripping.
Keep It Clean: pests love homes that are cluttered and that aren’t cleaned very often. Prevent them by keeping up with your housework. You don’t have to keep the place sterile-level clean, but regular washing and vacuuming are important. And do your best not to let clutter pile up.
