Every year, thousands of Norwegians become victims of the influenza virus. Constant mutations and changes in the viral structure makes it difficult to develop a universal vaccine.
At The Influenza Center at The Gade Institute, scientists work continuously towards developing vaccines against the virus. The risk of a global influenza pandemic is always present, but thanks to research conducted on the virus, we are well prepared to face such pandemics.
Recently an information video has been produced about The Influenza Center. The video provides information about the work being done at the Center, as well as the societal relevance this work has for the general public.
